In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Forgive and Forget?.”

This was the most difficult decision of my life and it changed me.

The hardest forgiveness I ever offered.

Is it coincidence that since I showed mercy and kindness that I have received some measure of peace? That was my wish for him and it’s been a gift to me instead. Can I say now I’ve total peace? No. But I have a measure of it.

Here was the outcome from that forgiveness:

Forgive doesn’t mean you must forget. Somethings are never forgotten.
